Our Story
Meeting at Albany Park Community Hub

Based in St. Andrew's Church, Sidcup

With a heart for Jesus, we are here to welcome the people of Albany Park to join our story!

Potted History

  • The Sidcup based church began as Barnabas Christian Fellowship in the Early 1980s, led by David Holden
  • In 1986 The New Frontiers movement was founded by Terry Virgo now known as Newfrontiers
  • The church changed its name to Sidcup Community Church in 1992
  • The church was renamed New Community Church in 2004
  • Today New Community Church is a multi-venue church with services in Eltham and Sidcup, and is still part of the New Frontiers movement

A lot has happened since the 80s! We've seen Jesus do amazing things in many lives - and now hundreds of us meet each week in smaller Communities in different locations.

On Sundays, we gather together in different meetings to celebrate all that God has done and is doing.

Whatever your story, whatever your background or lifestyle, you are welcome with us.

New Community Church is part of the New Ground network of churches

New Ground is a family of churches led by Dave Holden and the New Ground core team.

We believe that God has called us to play our part in His great mission to see many churches planted across the world and to see communities transformed by the love of Jesus.

At present, the New Ground network of churches is particularly represented in Europe

New Ground is part of something larger than itself: Newfrontiers, a network of church families all holding to the same vision and values that shape and define us as we take the good news of Jesus to different parts of the globe.

We are currently made up of over 4000 churches working in 97 nations.
